Ingrid Bakker combines her research and educational tasks as associate Professor ‘Healthy City’ at the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences with her role as JOGG coach (Youth at a Healthy Weight) for Dutch local governments. As associate Professor she is responsible for the innovation and knowledge circulation on prevention of childhood obesity in relation to the spatial and build environment. In her previous role as program manager of the first Dutch city to implement the Dutch EPODE method (=JOGG), she worked with several policy departments and with 6 public and 9 private partners. In the Netherlands, Ingrid has been elected as the person that combines, tunes and implicates Policy, Research and Practice in the most inspiring way.
