Martine Bouman, Ph.D., is scientific director of the Center for Media & Health. She is an associate professor at the University of Twente in Netherlands and guest lecturer of various (inter)national universities. Her research interests are Entertainment-Education, Popular Communication, Persuasion Communication, and Media Research. In 2010 she was the first European to be a recipient of the international Everett M. Rogers Entertainment-Education Achievement Award. Bouman is experienced in developing, researching, and conducting innovative EE-interventions in new media and television. As a communication scholar and consultant, she contributes to western and non-western social change projects around the world.
