Speakers Bios

Marco Bamberger

Marco Bamberger, Master of Arts in Architecture FHNW, worked as a researcher at the Institute of Architecture at FHNW and started working as an independent architect in 2016. In his masters exchange semester he studied urban design at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. From 2011 to 2013 he worked in Haiti for Caritas Switzerland in the post-earthquake reconstruction of schools and private houses.

Fabian Neuhaus

Fabian Neuhaus is currently a senior researcher at the Institute Architecture at FHNW (University of Applied Science and Art Northwestern Switzerland). He has received his doctorate from UCL. His main research interests are temporal aspects of the urban environment in general and cyclical, repetitive patterns specifically. For his Masters of Science in Urban Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, he was awarded a distinction. He has worked with architecture and urban design practices in the UK and Switzerland as well as on research projects at universities in Switzerland, Germany and the UK. He is the author of www.urbantick.blogspot.com.

Dalma Fabian

Dalma Fabian is a policy officer at FEANTSA (European Federation of National Organisations working with Homeless People) and has been working on health and homelessness and women's homelessness for a number of years. She has a MA in human rights.

Alice Minghetti

Alice received her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in „Sports Science” and “Italian literature and linguistics” from the University of Basel (Switzerland) in December 2016. She wrote her master thesis in clinical research combining sports medicine and exercise science, and continues to work in those fields as a research assistant. In February 2017 she started working for the “Hopp-la Foundation” as scientific supervisor with a focus on evaluating the ongoing projects.

Barbara Broers

Current positions: Professor, head of the Dependencies Unit of the Primary Care Division, Geneva University Hospitals. Academic advisor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva.
Graduate from the Medical Faculty of the University of Amsterdam, NL; Master’s Degree at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, McGill University, Montreal; Swiss specialisation title in Prevention and Public Health. Two years experience in public health and education in developing countries (India, Nepal). Twenty-five years of clinical, teaching and research experience at the Geneva University Hospitals in the field of substance use, addiction, HIV and harm reduction. Vice-president of the Swiss Society of Addiction Medicine. Vice-president of the Swiss Federal Commission on Addiction-related Questions. Consultant for the WHO, Council of Europe, Swiss Federal Office of Public Health for addiction policy and drug treatment issues. Member of the Swiss federal expert group on medical cannabinoids, founding member of the Swiss Taskforce for Cannabinoids in Medicine. Over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
